Sunday is First in Advent

This Sunday, November 28, is the first Sunday in Advent. The Liturgical Church considers this the first day of the New Church Year. The tradition of lighting a candle in an Advent Wreath is associated with each of four Sundays in Advent. We anticipate the coming Incarnation of our Savior on Christmas Day.
